Occupancy

Occupancy is a fundamental part of this application:

  • The occupation of the dwellings will be restricted to the persons who meet the following criteria;

  • (a) have lived in the Town of Framlingham or the Adjoining Parishes for the preceding three years; or

  • (b) have a place of work for at least 20 hours per week in any period of 48 weeks in any calendar year in the Town of Framlingham or the Adjoining Parishes; or

  • (c) have parents, siblings, own children or grandchildren who have lived in Town of Framlingham or the Adjoining Parishes for the preceding three years; or

  • (d) demonstrate some other local connection to Town of Framlingham or the Adjoining Parishes to the satisfaction of the Owner; or

  • (e) have been forced within the preceding three years to move away from Town of Framlingham or the Adjoining Parishes because of a lack of suitable accommodation having previously lived there for a continuous period of three years or more

  • Reason; To ensure that the development is occupied only as bona-fide charity housing accommodation, having regard to the affordable housing objectives of the Local Plan and the fact that the site is outside any area where planning permission would normally be forthcoming for open market housing development.
